Pomeroy Presents Webinar on Software-Defined Wide Area Networking

Experts discuss game-changing network agility available through SD-WAN

Hebron, KY – May 3, 2017Pomeroy, a global leader in managed services to optimize the IT infrastructure, today announced it will present an informative webinar discussing the transformative capabilities of today’s software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN). Agility Unleashed – What SD-WAN Can Do For You is a 60-minute webinar scheduled for Wednesday, May 31, at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT). Register here.

Innovative organizations are moving faster than ever to launch new applications and capabilities for employees, customers, and partners. But for those with multiple branch locations over a distributed enterprise, this drive to innovate is challenged by the need for cost-effective bandwidth and a more agile network that makes efficient use of valuable IT resources and assets.

“SD-WAN has come along at just the right time,” says Stephen Vandegriff, Pomeroy Managing Director of Network, Data Center and Workplace Services. “Think about healthcare networks, retailers, or even branch banking locations. Deploying a new app or making critical updates across a distributed network use to take IT resources days or weeks of manual work to reach every impacted network device. With SD-WAN, organizations can quickly and easily increase bandwidth to remote locations and deliver game-changing apps on the fly. And IT administrators have more centralized visibility, control and management of their wide area networks.”

According to Vandegriff, Gartner projects that 30 percent of enterprises will use SD-WAN technologies by the end of 2019, up from less than one percent today. And SD-WAN is currently on 90 percent of companies’ IT roadmaps.

“With more affordable broadband options, zero-touch deployments, and greater visibility and management of enterprise-wide networks, SD-WAN could provide many organizations with a return on investment in as little as 1-3 years,” Vandegriff estimated.

Presented in conjunction with eWeek, the webinar will feature Stephen Vandegriff and Louie Belt, Pomeroy’s Principal Solution Architect for Advanced Data Center Solutions. They will share industry trends and use cases driving the adoption of SD-WAN, tips on how to evaluate current providers and leverage broadband access to deliver additional performance, redundancy and cost savings, and insights into building a roadmap for a network of the future.
