Corporate Citizenship

Passionate about supporting the community where they work and live, Pomeroy employees enjoy contributing to worthy causes.

Pomeroy and its employees recognize the importance of giving back to the community. This giving back takes many forms, from international disaster relief to local community support to green initiatives. Recent programs that exemplify Pomeroy’s commitment to community include:

United Way – In its inaugural 2010 campaign, Pomeroy employees raised funds for United Way organizations in Greater Cincinnati and around the U.S. Pomeroy captured the second spot on United Way of Greater Cincinnati’s ‘Top New Participating Companies’ list.

Haiti Earthquake Relief – Employees and the company contributed to the American Red Cross to support humanitarian efforts in the wake of the earthquake that devastated Haiti in 2010.

Education – Pomeroy sponsored a team of high school students competing in the INTERalliance IT Careers Camp, hosted by Northern Kentucky University. Twenty Cincinnati-area students competed in a problem-solving “Olympics” on Pomeroy’s corporate campus. The 2011 competition marked Pomeroy’s second year of involvement in the program.

Environment – To celebrate Earth Day 2011, Pomeroy held an e-waste recycling event for employees on its corporate campus. Employees dropped off old, unwanted electronic gear for recycling in a secure and environmentally responsible way. In 2010 Pomeroy began initiatives on its corporate campus to promote recycling and reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

In addition to monetary donations, Pomeroy employees recognize the value of donating time, talent and effort. In 2011, a team of Pomeroy employees joined volunteers from other Cincinnati-area companies in preparing a local youth camp for summer. More than 900 volunteer hours were dedicated to landscaping, painting, building picnic tables and installing tent platforms.

Whatever the project, whatever the task, the employees of Pomeroy are passionate in their commitment to being involved in our community and sharing our good fortune with others.
